what “TLM Enable” means in pro-

gramming section 15. Beside the

option number is a reference number

(in this case 5.11). If you open the

Installation Manual at section 5.11

(page 32), you will see that TLM

stands for Telephone Line Monitoring.

There are several options that require

programming for the telephone line

monitor feature. These are

summarised at the end of the descrip-

tion and include which section the

option can be programmed in.

The summary of programme options

is also a good troubleshooting tool.

For example, if you are having diffi-

culty getting the panel to send a test

transmission, look this feature up in

the Installation Manual. Refer to the

summary and make sure you have

programmed all the required informa-

tion. If you think you missed an item,

the summary will tell you exactly what

programming section you need to

look at to check the item.

The third book named Instruction

Manual should be given to the client

or on-site manager.
